It doesnt matter if its the season finale, The Spoiling Dead Fans have got their hands on major The Walking Dead spoilers. On Friday, a summary detailing the events from the Season 5 finale, episode 16, Conquer, was released. Below, weve put together a quick recap of the finales main events. Needless to say, huge spoilers are ahead, read at your own risk! The source has never failed to bring The Walking Dead fans accurate spoilers, but theres always a chance take all spoilers with a grain of salt!
The opening scene features a character we have all been wanting to see Morgan! Hes minding his own business, when an armed man holds him at gun point. The man has a W on his forehead, which Morgan asks about. The armed man talks about the backstory of the wolves (which I wont get into in order to keep this short). Showing some sweet moves, Morgan takes the man down. Another man jumps out and attacks Morgan, but Morgan handles himself just fine. Morgan ties them both up, locks them in a car, and blows the horn letting walkers take it away from there.
Rick wakes up to Michonne watching him, some of the others enter. They want Rick to lie and tell the community what they want to hear, because, these people are children, and children like stories, Carol says. Rick wants to come up with a plan to take control of the community.
Meanwhile, Maggie is trying to persuade Deanna to change her mind about Rick. This is the scene we saw in the promo, so I wont get too much into it. Sasha is just being Sasha, killing and burying walkers. Towards the end of the episode, Sasha pays Gabriel a visit to talk well jump back to this in a bit.
Nicholas is acting suspicious and up to no good, so Glenn follows him. Glenn gets distracted and is shot in the shoulder.
Father Gabriel has thoughts of suicide and kills a walker. He then cries in the middle of the road. Sorry, Gabe, we feel no sympathy for you.
Outside of Alexandria, Daryl and Aaron are following a guy wearing a red poncho. Daryl triggers a trap and accidentally releases a lot of walkers. Well be seeing some pretty cool kills. They are trapped in the car, surrounded by walkers. As they are thinking of a way to get out alive, Morgan comes to the rescue!
After they are safe, Aaron tells Morgan about Alexandria. Morgan tells Aaron that he has other plans, but is lost. Morgan then pulls out a map. Its the map that Abraham left Rick with, that reads, The new worlds gonna need Rick Grimes. Now remember, Daryl has never met Morgan. So when Daryl sees this, he just looks at Morgan without acknowledging the note.
While visiting an unconscious Tara, Abraham and Eugene have some closure and apologize to each other. Gabriel then returns from his trip outside and forgets to properly close the gate.
Nicholas and Glenn continue to fight and Glenn comes close to dying but hes fine!
Rick spots the open gate and traces of a walker; he runs looking for it.
Back to Sasha and Gabriel: Father G nastily talks about how Bob was dismembered, so Sasha pins him to the wall and points her gun at him. Maggie appears and stops her.
The meeting has started without Glenn, Nicholas, or Rick (since they are all preoccupied at the moment). Deanna, Abraham, Maggie, Michonne, and Carol say their piece to the town about Rick.
Two other members of the Wolves find the red poncho guy and trap him in the trap that Daryl and Aaron escaped from thanks to Morgan.
Glenn decides to spare Nicholas life and drags him back to the community.
Rick appears at the meeting, holding a walker. He explains how one way or another, walkers and evil in general will always find a way inside. You need to change now, Rick says. Pete interrupts his speech with, Youre not one of us! Pete is holding Michonnes katana and pushes Reg out of the way, slitting his throat by accident. A hysterical Deanna tells Rick to kill Pete, which Rick does without hesitation.
Daryl, Aaron, and Morgan appear. Rick and Morgan exchange a look. End.
Now that you know what will happen, what do you think? It looks like Norman Reedus and the other cast members made it sound like this episode would be a lot more exciting. Not that it doesnt sound action-packed, but from what they said in interviews, many fans thought that more blood would be shed.
